CheeChee is a digital solution operated by AlohaTech for restaurants, hotels, beach clubs and other venues providing ordering and hospitality services to their guests.

The CheeChee solution includes a mobile application for guests, a professional web interface for partner venues and a presentation website available at mycheechee.com.

This Privacy Policy explains which data may be processed when using CheeChee services, why it is used, how long it is retained and which rights users may exercise.

2. Data processed in the mobile application

The CheeChee mobile application allows users to join a temporary session created by a venue and access the services offered during that session.

• first name, surname or nickname entered by the user;
• information relating to the joined session;
• orders placed during the session;
• interactions with the venue required to provide the service.

CheeChee does not require guests to create a personal account in order to join a session.

3. Data processed in the professional interface

Use of the CheeChee professional interface requires accounts for authorized members of partner venues.

Data required for authentication, access management and operation of the service may be processed. Information available to venues is limited to what is necessary to manage their activities and services.

4. Data collected on the website

The mycheechee.com website allows visitors to learn about CheeChee and submit a contact or demo request.

When a visitor uses the form, the information voluntarily provided may be processed.

• first and last name;
• email address;
• telephone number, when provided;
• venue name and venue type;
• message content.

This information is used only to respond to the visitor’s request and follow up on the resulting communications.

5. Purposes of processing

• allow users to join and use a session;
• manage orders and associated services;
• facilitate interactions between users and venues;
• allow authorized professionals to access CheeChee tools;
• ensure the operation, security and maintenance of the services;
• prevent abusive or fraudulent use;
• respond to contact and demo requests.

Personal data is not sold and is not used for targeted advertising.

6. Legal bases

Depending on the service used, processing may be based on the performance of a service requested by the user, AlohaTech’s legitimate interests in operating and securing its services or responding to contact requests, and compliance with applicable legal obligations.

7. Retention periods

Data relating to sessions and orders is retained for a maximum of 48 hours after the end of the session. It is then automatically deleted.

Other categories of data are retained only for as long as necessary for the purposes for which they were collected and in accordance with applicable legal obligations.

8. Data recipients

• the venue concerned by the session;
• authorized persons within AlohaTech;
• technical providers required for hosting, security and operation of the services.

AlohaTech does not sell personal data to third parties.

9. Technical providers

• Firebase and Google Cloud for hosting and certain technical services;
• Cloudflare Turnstile to protect the website form against abuse and automated submissions;
• Resend to deliver messages sent through the website form.

10. Cookies and analytics

CheeChee applications do not use advertising tools or analytics tools intended to track user behavior.

The CheeChee website currently does not use audience analytics or targeted advertising. Certain services strictly necessary for operation and security may nevertheless process technical information required to provide their services.

11. Data security

AlohaTech implements technical and organizational measures designed to protect data against unauthorized access, loss, alteration, disclosure or destruction.

12. International transfers

Certain technical providers may process data from countries outside the European Economic Area. Where such transfers occur, they are governed by mechanisms provided under applicable data protection legislation.

13. User rights

Depending on their situation, users may have rights of access, rectification, erasure, restriction, objection and, where applicable, data portability.
